Frequently Asked Questions

  • Therapy is about fit, and what matters most is that you find yours. If you’re curious whether I may be that fit, the first phone call is a chance to ask questions, share what you’re looking for, and get a sense of how we might work together. There’s no obligation—just an opportunity to see if it feels like a good match for you.

  • I use SimplePractice, a HIPAA-compliant platform designed for secure and confidential virtual sessions. You’ll receive a unique link before each appointment. Sessions are similar to in-person therapy, but from the comfort of your own space.

  • Not at this time.

    • 55 min individual therapy session $170

    • 60 min intake session $185

  • I do not accept insurance directly. However, I can provide a superbill which you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network (OON) reimbursement.

  • To understand your out-of-network benefits, you can contact your insurance company and ask to speak with a representative.

    You may want to ask:

    • Does my plan include out-of-network coverage for mental health services?

    • What is my coverage for CPT codes 90791 (initial intake) and 90837 (individual therapy, 53+ minutes)?

    • What percentage of the session fee will be reimbursed?

    • Do I have a deductible, and has it been met?

    • How do I submit a superbill, and what is the typical reimbursement timeline?

If you have questions about any of this, I’m happy to help guide you through the process. Many clients receive partial reimbursement for sessions, depending on their out-of-network benefits.

  • I ask that you give 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your session. Late cancellations or missed appointments are charged the full session fee. If we are able to reschedule within the same week, the fee will be waived.

  • The first session is all about you. You choose how much to share, and together we start building our therapeutic relationship. We’ll discuss your goals and decide which approach is most helpful, so you can feel safe, supported and in control of your therapy journey.

  • There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. The length of therapy depends on your goals, needs and pace. Some people find relief in a few sessions, while others benefit from ongoing support over months or longer. We’ll check in regularly, so you can decide what feels right for you and adjust as your needs evolve.

  • A Good Faith Estimate is a written overview of what your therapy sessions are expected to cost. It helps you plan ahead and avoid unexpected fees. You can request one at any time.
